Level 5 NVQ Leadership & Management for Adult Care A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care replaces the NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management for Adult Care. This internationally recognised qualification is the equivalent of an A-level qualification and is the UK industry standard for managers  working in the adult care sector.

The Level 5 Diploma qualification is for leaders & managers in a range of adult care settings such as residential services for older people, and people with disabilities.

The course is also for domiciliary and respite carers working in the community and registered, assistant and deputy care managers. Training covers decision making, safeguarding, leading and managing services, service improvement, managing end of life care, governance & regulatory requirements.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care

The Qualifications and Credit Framework (RCF Regulated Qualification Framework) is the way of recognising achievement through the awarding of credits for qualifications and individual units. It aims to provide a more flexible route to gaining qualifications and enables progression in smaller steps through the accumulation of credit.

The cost of the course is £1500.00 and interest free payment plans are also available with no credit checks.

Assessment

This is a competency-based qualification and evidence is gathered by the learner as they undertake their normal work role to create their portfolio. The evidence reflects policies and procedures of the workplace according to the current government legislation. During the course of the qualification, the candidate should ideally work with at least two service users.

There are a range of assessment methods including examining work products and expert witness testimonies and direct observation. An assessor will visit you in the workplace at some point and undertake observations of you at work. Knowledge-based units are assessed using a range of methods including reflective accounts, projects, assignments, assessor questions and professional discussions. Learners will have full access to assessor support via telephone, email, and web links.

Duration

This health and social care Diploma qualification is usually completed within 12 months.

Entry requirements

There is no set entry requirement for this level 5 Diploma qualification. However, the qualification is only available to candidates 19 years and older.

The course fee (£1500) can be paid using our Easy Payment Plan or it can be funded through an Advanced Learner Loan.

CQC Requirements

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care is recognised as a professional management qualification for the Health and Social care sector.

Career Progression

After completing this course. learners can progress to an apprenticeship or qualification such as higher level apprenticeships or to a Higher Education qualifications such as a foundation degree or degree programme, providing any specific entry requirements are met. A Level 6 Leadership qualification or apprenticeship, providing their job role supports the requirements of the standard, would also provide progression opportunities.
