Government funded level 3 health & social care NVQ in the Birmingham area
This fully Government funded Level 3 NVQ training course is FREE for health and social care workers in based in Birmingham, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Dudley, Halesowen, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, Coventry and the West Midlands.
The objective of this level 3 NVQ qualification is to develop the knowledge and skills needed when working in a lead adult care worker role in care home, community or domiciliary social care settings. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health and social care procedures.
This is a combined knowledge and competence qualification which is aimed at individuals who would like to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a Senior Carer. In particular, this level 3 qualification is appropriate for aspiring Senior Carers. A level 3 NVQ diploma is equivalent to an advanced technical certificate or 2 A levels.
Why Is This Course Free?
From April 2021, any adult aged 24 and over who wants to achieve their first full level 3 NVQ qualification will be able to access hundreds of fully-funded NVQ courses as part of the National Skills Fund ‘Lifetime Skills Guarantee’.
Do You Qualify?
This level 3 NVQ qualification is suitable for learners aged 24+ and currently employed in a care home. Whilst there is no formal entry criteria with regard to English and Maths Qualifications, it is advised that you have a minimum of Level 1 English to complete the course. If you cannot provide proof of a Level 1 English qualification a small written task will be set to establish the skills needed. Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on a practical placement as an important part of the assessment process involves evaluating skills in real working situations.
What You Can Do Next?
After completing this qualification, learners could progress on to Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care. This qualification is for individuals who want to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to supervise within adult care settings. In particular, this level 4 NVQ qualification is appropriate for existing senior carers for further development or for those aspiring to become managers.
